Intergence systems provides technical IT consultancy services, delivering quality network solutions to those who rely on their network infrastructure to run their business. We apply a combination of the highest level of technical expertise, experience and project management to network design and implementation for organisations looking to optimise their existing architecture, or migrate to emerging technologies, within a compliant and secure framework and in line with best practice.
As part of our on-site support team we are looking for additional network/server administrators to ensure availability, integrity and security of our customer's network operations infrastructure.
You will have gained hands on commercial experience of network and server technology and products preferably in an enterprise environment and will be a good team player with a sleeves rolled up attitude.
Networking
- Ideally at least CCxA qualified with a background of 2nd and 3rd level support of Cisco based network infrastructure in an enterprise; NOC or core networking environment.
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of networking protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, EIRGP etc)
- Hands on experience with build, troubleshooting and administration of Checkpoint and Cisco Firewalls
- Solid experience of cabling, rack, stacking, installation, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting of network equipment
Server
- Ideally MCSA, RHCA qualified with Wintel and Linux (mainly RedHat) server administration
- Experience of commercial scale Windows and Linux server build, test, configure, troubleshoot and repair
- Experience with ongoing administration of Windows (Server 2003, LDAP, Exchange) and open-source (Apache etc) software
- Experience of additional vendor products such as the Veritas suite (Volume Manager, Backup exec) etc will be an advantage
This shift based environment with an 8 week rotating shift pattern (earlys, lates, weekends and call-out) Weekend work 1 week in 8
2 late shifts (>10pm) 1 week in 4
All other days 08:00 to 16:00 or 10:00 to 18:00
